Title: Full-Stack Engineer
Reports to: Director of Engineering
Structurely, one of the fastest-growing software startups in the Midwest has built a powerful conversational AI platform to help businesses become more human, reliable, and flexible. Organizations like Inman News and the National Association of REALTORS have recognized Structurely for innovation in the real estate and mortgage industries. We now seek to develop our people, processes, and technology to scale the company and expand the product into new industries. We are building its capabilities in our SaaS/PaaS platform, ML algorithm, and API services environments.
About Your Job:
Joining the Structurely team means you will be entering a fast-paced, change-making, and industry-shaping environment. As a full-stack engineer, you will be responsible for the overall development and implementation of front and backend software applications. You will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for the complete software development life cycle, conception to deployment. The Engineering Team at Structurely is world-class. Engineering meetups are encouraged so you can meet other engineers and solve bigger problems together by looking at our challenges in a new light.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Meeting with the software development team to define the scope and scale of software projects.
Designing software system architecture.
Completing data structures and design patterns.
Designing and implementing scalable web services, applications, and APIs.
Developing and maintaining internal software tools.
Writing low-level and high-level code.
Troubleshooting and bug fixing.
Identifying bottlenecks and improving software efficiency.
Writing technical documentation.
All other duties as assigned.
Language & Application Preferences:
MongoDB for application DB
AWS for infrastructure (i.e., EC2, Elastic Load Balancing, and S3)
Postgres for data warehouse
Python for all backend logic (that enables the GraphQL layer)
GraphQL for query layer
React for frontend
React Native for mobile apps
Proficiency working with Ubuntu or other Linux distributions
Experience with Redis or additional caching, publish/subscribe, or message queue systems
Experience with Celery or other task frameworks
Experience with Git or other package management software
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or a related field, or 5+ years relevant industry experience.
3+ years of experience contributing to new and current systems’ architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling). Advanced troubleshooting skills.
Good communication skills.
High-level project management skills.
Experience utilizing agile methodologies
